Through the narration of renown physician and addiction specialist Dr. Gabor Maté, we take a look at the Post-Prison Education Program (PPEP), a successful treatment model based in Seattle that breaks the intergenerational cycle of addiction and crime through education and intensive post-release support.

Addiction is a public health issue. We need evidence-based policies that focus on saving lives, not locking people up. The Sentencing Reform and Corrections Act (S.1917) is a bipartisan bill that would reduce certain mandatory minimum sentencing rules and expand prison education, workforce training and drug treatment programs.
